Educational Qualification Postgraduate degree with at least 50% marks from a recognized university
Service Requirement Headmaster/Headmistress – 2 years
Lecturer – 10 years
Lecturer + Assistant Teacher (LT) – 15 years
Assistant Teacher (LT) – 15 years
Age Limit Maximum 55 years as of 1 July 2025 (must not be born before 2 July 1970)
Employment Condition Must be a permanent employee in Uttarakhand government schools

Language Proficiency

A — General English (20 questions / 20 marks)

Comprehension, word power, grammar and usage with emphasis on communicative and administrative usage. Use of correct prepositions, one-word substitution, synonyms, antonyms, tenses, idioms and phrases, active/passive voice, direct & indirect speech.

B — General Hindi (20 questions / 20 marks)

स्वर एवं व्यंजन, स्वर और व्यंजन वर्णों का वर्गीकरण, संज्ञा, सर्वनाम—व्याकरण विचार, तत्सम, tadbhav, प्रत्यय, उपसर्ग, समास, संधि, पर्यायवाची, विलोम शब्द, वाक्यांश के लिए एक शब्द, मुहावरे एवं लोकोक्ति, विराम चिन्ह।

Part-II
General knowledge

(40 questions / 40 marks)

General knowledge and current affairs — national and international including economic issues, polity issues, environment issues, science and technology and any other current issues. Candidates are expected to have a thorough general awareness of the above subjects with reference to Uttarakhand also.

Reasoning Ability
